Collection Miner

1. Overview

Collection Miner (the "Extension") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled by the Extension.

The short version: we collect nothing. All data stays on your device.

2. Data Processing and Storage

• Local Only: All data processed by the Extension is stored and processed strictly locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, browser history, bookmark lists, or preference weights to any external servers.
• Bookmarks Access (bookmarks permission): The Extension reads your browser bookmarks solely to randomly select and display them on your New Tab page. Bookmark data is never transmitted off-device.
• Storage Access (storage permission): The Extension uses Chrome's storage API to locally save your bookmark interaction weights, like/dislike counts, and viewing history. This data never leaves your device.
• Tabs Access (tabs permission): The Extension reads the URL of open tabs to detect and optionally close duplicate "Collection Miner" new tab pages, keeping your browser tab bar clean. No tab content or browsing history is stored or transmitted.

3. Information Sharing

Since we do not collect any of your information, we do not share, sell, or trade any user data with third parties.

4. Permissions Summary

• bookmarks — Read-only access to display your bookmarks. Never modified or transmitted.
• storage — Local storage of interaction weights and history. Never synced or transmitted.
• tabs — Reads current tab URLs to close duplicates only. No browsing history stored.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected in the extension version updates and this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
